MJ is a community facilitator with a strong passion and interest in the well-being of individuals and society. When she first heard the quote ‘Be the change you wish to see in the world’, this spiralled the start of her self-development journey and her quest to encourage others to do more for themselves and see what begins to unravel. From working in the human services industry to teaching yoga and meditation. She has come across many individuals from all different paths searching for the same things in life. happiness. time. freedom. Health. Her new project @slowthefkdown is a community project on navigating sustainability, conscious living and mindfulness in the modern era.

Workshop:  How to: slowthefkdown in this day and age (Discussion and guided yoga & meditation)

Description:

In this workshop, you will be guided through various yoga asanas (postures), free movement + some breath work and mindfulness meditation to end on a peaceful, blissful note. This workshop is for those in need of a little slowing down, to take a moment and a deep breath. There will be some general discussion on topics such as mental health, self-care techniques, mindfulness techniques and navigating through the very demanding 21st century.

Not your ‘typical’ yoga class. Please come with an open mind and ready for some fun. EveryBODY is welcome and beginner friendly. Few mats will be provided but please feel free to bring your own. No touching toes required. Grab a pal and come around for some time-out and self-care.
